Contents of guarantee

Voile du Sud engineering is very proud of the quality of its shade sails and the satisfaction they will bring you for many years.

Finished shade sails are covered by a 1 year guarantee. Voile du Sud Engineering reserves the right to repair or replace the item covered by this warranty. The guarantee becomes voided

  • Whenever a replacement, a modification, an addition, an anchor point, a suspension or whatever has been made to the structure without the written consent of Voile du Sud Engineering. 

Warranty coverage

  • Seams
  • Reinforced corners of the sail.
  • Color fastness.
  • Significant discolouration, deterioration, tears, mildews.
  • Winds of up to 100 km/h with gusts up to 120 km/h of less than 3 seconds without snow, ice or hail.
  • The guarantee only applies to the repair of or replacement of defective sails.
  • No sign or other object, ornament, fan, light, spotlight, attachment or decoration may be suspended or fixed to the structure unless a specific design study has been carried out by Voile du Sud Engineering. Such additions interact and distort the fabrics and cancel the warranty.

Exclusions

  • Damage caused by incorrect installation, changes made without our consent, including abnormal wear due to incorrect sail tension, and any problems resulting from incorrect handling (tearing, rubbing, scraping, snagging ...)
  • Damage caused during cleaning or by usage of inappropriate and / or unapproved products by VDSE
  • Damage caused during cleaning or by usage of inappropriate and / or unapproved products by VDSE
  • Damage caused by chemicals: air pollution or inappropriate cleaning techniques.
  • Damage caused by animals
  • Damage caused by lack of supervision of the fittings: clients are requested to regularly check the correct positioning of the cable in the eyelet and make sure that the bolts are securely fastened.
  • Damage caused by natural disasters (winds over 100 km/h, gusts of more than 3 seconds over 120 km/h, fire, earthquakes)
  • Vandalism

All shade sails come with recommended instructions sewn in one corner of the sail.

Conditions of use

  • The declaration must be made by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt along with a copy of the invoice and photos of the problem within 5 days of the start of the problem.
  • The guarantee begins as from the delivery of the finished product. In case of a problem

Please contact us directly without touching (except force majeure) the aforementioned sail.

The sails are designed for the summer, they are not adapted to autumn and winter weather conditions. Therefore the warranty becomes void when the sails remain in place during these seasons.
